Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay
To promote interdisciplinary
learning and to keep up with the changing environment, IIT Bombay established
its management school in 1995 with the objective of transforming professionals
with technological background to "Renaissance Leaders" of tomorrow.
In the year 2000, the school was renamed as Shailesh J Mehta School of
Management, in honor of Dr. Shailesh J. Mehta, a distinguished alumnus of IIT
Bombay and a generous contributor to the school.
SJMSOM conducts education and
research in leadership, economics, marketing, entrepreneurship, organizational
behavior, technology management, operations, strategy and other areas. The
school offers a full-time degree course (Master of Management), doctoral course
and Management Development Programs(MDP)for company representatives. The School
offers short-term programs in various areas of management for the faculty of
technical and management institutions during summer and winter seasons.
Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management
extends consulting facilities to organizations with a view to help address management
issues. Organizations for which the school carried out consultancy projects
include: ICICI, World Bank Indian Tube Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, Geologistics India
Ltd, Tata Auto Plastics, Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced
Management Studies, ICRA, etc.The school also undertakes sponsored Research
& Development projects from industrial and other organizations in various
areas of Management and Policy-making.

Dubai Knowledge Village,
launched in 2003, places the Middle East on the map as a destination for
learning excellence. Its 1 KM long picturesque campus provides a ready
environment for a variety of knowledge-based entities including training
centres and learning support entities.

founded as part of a long-term economic strategy to develop the region's talent
pool and accelerate its move into a knowledge-based economy.

Life Link
Life Link is a young soil
bio-technology solution company. Life Link was founded in April 2001 by a group
of people with an extensive background in Chemical & Environmental
Engineering and bio technology. This team had earlier set up and run the
research arm with IIT Bombay & Soil Biotechnology (SBT) is a product of
this team effort at IIT Bombay which has the IPR on SBT covered under US and
Indian Patents Acts.
By Soil Biotechnology technology organic waste water is
processed in an ecosystem consisting of soil, bacterial culture and geophagus
earthworm, mineral additives and select plants. Formulated natural additives
are also included in the process in order to renovate the wastewater to the
desired quality.
